Tracie Jernigan

Minister of Worship Arts, First Baptist Church of Wilmington, NC

Dr. Tracie Jernigan has served in church music for over 25 years as a worship liturgist, children's choir director, pianist, organist, modern band leader, and organizer of creatives. She grew up in Plano, Texas, received a Bachelors and Master of Music in Church Music from Baylor University, a Master of Divinity from Truett Theological Seminary, and a Doctor of Ministry in Theology and Worship from Mercer University.

Tracie's passions include planning creative and art-filled worship, leading worship from the piano, and singing songs about God with the youngest and oldest believers.  She has served on the CCMS board since its inception and also teaches at Yellowstone Theological Institute in Bozeman, Montana, as Seasonal Lecturer in Worship Studies.
