Engaging Music in New & Different Ways
The Dunn Center for Christian Music Studies creates opportunities for students to experience Christian music beyond the classroom, engaging diverse communities, cultures, and expressions of faith in meaningful and transformative ways.
Through Baylor Music & Missions, students participate in domestic and international experiences that bring together music, ministry, service, and cultural exchange. These opportunities invite students to use their gifts in new contexts while learning from the people, traditions, and communities they encounter.
At the heart of Music & Missions is a commitment to give, share, and receive. Students are invited not simply to bring music and ministry into a community, but to listen, build relationships, worship alongside others, and learn from the people they encounter. Through these experiences, students gain a deeper understanding of the global Church and a broader vision for how their musical gifts can foster connection, service, and shared faith.
Music & Missions Around the World
Over the years, Baylor Church Music and the Dunn Center have taken students beyond the familiar and into communities around the world. Each journey is shaped by the people and places encountered along the way, creating opportunities for students to sing, serve, worship, teach, listen, and learn alongside local churches and ministry partners.
These journeys are more than opportunities to perform or serve. They become formative experiences in which students discover the breadth of the global Church, develop meaningful relationships across cultures, and consider more deeply what it means to offer their gifts in service to others.
Previous trips have explored parts of Kenya, Malaysia, Argentina, El Salvador, Brazil, and Indonesia.
