BNG Conference 2012
The Center for Christian Music Studies hosted its second Building the Next Generation of Worship Leaders Conference September 27-29, 2012. This event brought together church music faculty from colleges and universities that offer undergraduate church music training. Ten presentations over two days brought conversation and discussion on a number of church music-related topics.
Twenty-five academic leaders from twelve states participated in the 2012 BNG Conference.
The event was planned with four unique goals in mind:
- Foster a sense of community among church music faculty
- Encourage faculty members who mostly serve as a one-person department
- Discover and discern ways to recruit more young people to serve the church through music
- Share ideas and best practices
