Brian Tinsley
Retired, Accountant

Brian is a Dallas native and a graduate of Baylor University, earning his Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting in 1987. He retired from Exxon Mobil Corporation in 2020 after 30 years of service, having held several positions in Houston as well as in New Orleans, Calgary, and Dallas. Brian is a licensed Texas Certified Public Accountant, and has previously served on the advisory board for Baylor's Accounting program.
Brian's music education started early, having served in church choirs from a very young age. His formal training was in instrumental music, which culminated with two years in the Texas All-State Band during his high school years. As his career led to assignments in various cities, Brian joined church choirs at every stop, including Second Baptist (Houston), First Baptist Church, Covington (LA), Tallowood Baptist Church (Houston), Richmond Hill Baptist Church (Calgary), and currently at Park Cities Baptist Church in Dallas. Brian also sang in the BRH Choir while at Baylor.
Brian is married to the lovely Karen Tinsley, who received her Bachelors and Masters degrees from Baylor. Brian and Karen have two adult children who are also Baylor graduates: Andrew (Business Fellows, 2015, M. Theological Studies (from HCU) in 2022) and Allison (B.A., Church Music in 2018 and M.M. and M. Div. in 2020).
